Special Orders

Alright, so this isnt about getting rid of special orders. I have been seeing alot of special orders given to a specific t, and then when he does that special order, another ct, who is unaware of this t getting a special order, will kill that t. For example, today Crooked, a CT let Gay Jarick go to extreme climb, but the orders were to go to pool. Gay Jarrick was then killed by another CT. I see this all the time, and I was wondering if we could discuss some way to resolve this.

Without taking away Special Orders i honestly dont think there is a way because there is always going to be that one ct who wasn't paying attention or was afk at the start of the round when the orders were givin. If the t isnt obviously rebelling the ct can always asks what he is doing at that spot.

I mean if you pay attention to the round and stop eating your sushi. I think we can all agree that all you have to do is pay attention, And it does get annoying when there is a special order every round especially if its a freeday! I think we could get rid of special orders and no one would mind.

- Are there specialized orders?

- To put it shortly, yes. You can order a T to go to certain places or have a freeday. However, you shouldn't be giving them these orders round after round as it creates an unfair situation. For example, if someone wins a deathgame, then they can have a personalized freeday. And make sure your teammates know what T's have special orders to avoid confusion!

This more or less hints at if it's creating an obvious situation of ruining a players game play on purpose or otherwise harassing someone it becomes NOT allowed. A prime example of this is when someone who rebels a previous round is told to go to isolation and stay inside or to afk freeze for no reason.

However at the end of the day it comes down to the staff/players discretion.

If CT's freekill cause they don't have their ears open that isn't the special orders fault, it's the CT's fault for simply not listening.

EDIT: After thinking about this I don't really see why this shouldn't just fall under common sense, harrassment, and freekilling if it becomes an issue.

It can't, because common sense doesn't exist anymore.

This is common, the prisoner group is in one spot of the map, for this instance let's say pool, and ONE prisoner asks to go to medic. He is given permission, and starts to run to medic.

About half-way there, he get's shot and killed. Everyone screams freekill, and the shooter is in an award position because he didn't hear, and now everyone is yelling at him to slay.

Who's right and who's wrong?

Easy.

It's the CT's.

Let's remember that Jailbreak is a roleplaying server. I know it's difficult, especially as of late, because half the time the first orders from CT's are "FREEDAY NO...", and CT's just eagerly wait for Prisoners to rebel so they can taste the satisfaction of killing a prisoner who is unarmed and unarmored. (Unless they are armed)

Back on topic, let's just think about this for a moment.

I'm a guard in a prison. If I was to give an individual prisoner an order or permission to go to medic, away from the group, would I just let him go and forget about it?

Fuck no, that prisoner would be told to walk there the entire time, straight there, with at least one armed guard as an escort. Letting my team know "Hey, I'm with "Prisoner fuccboi" and I'm letting him go to medic, I'll be escorting him. (Don't shoot him)

By doing this, there is less of a chance for that Prisoner to rebel, and it creates the appearance of that prisoner not rebelling by having a guard escort him to the place he needs to go.

The CT's have the power, and need to use it together with their teammates. Get creative, drop some death-games, give some incentive, make it interesting. The best part about JB is that there is a lot of freedom in orders, and the meta constantly changing. Stop doing the same shit over and over again, and see what happens. If you make the round interesting enough, you can convince prisoners not to rebel (as much) and enjoy a decent round before all hell breaks loose again.

TL;DR Stop letting prisoners run around freely, it's a prison.

To be short, no. You misinterpreted what this post says. It says that you can give any specific prisoner any order (following regular CT rules, ofc) as long is this doesn't start being something that happens every round.

Meaning, yes I can send Gay Jerrick straight to the brig for blowing my head off last round, and I can even do it next round too, but much more than that, I should get on with my life, and keep him with the group.

You guys are way over thinking this...

Simply put, if a CT wants to give special orders to his buddy he can. If the order is pool, and a CT wants to let his friend go to soccer then so be it. They also need to understand by doing that they are risking their friend getting killed due to the confusion it can cause.

CTs can give special orders as long as they don't do it all the time and aren't causing major issues with it. Meaning if every single round they send all Ts to pool but then lets his buddy go wherever they need to stop. It's fine every now and then, but if they're doing it constantly, and especially if it's causing issues then they either need to stop, or an admin needs to step in.

Except nine times out of ten, it's generally a CT allowing his butt buddy to do something like follow him around or have a freeday while the rest of the Ts are stuck in like iso or big cage or something stupid and then given nothing to do all round, every round.

And having an admin step in doesn't help when there's not a rule about it. Jeez, the number of whiny little shits when I would slay/kick for being douche nozzles with special orders.
