Google Phone?

You do know that chromebooks are out selling macbooks right.

 

This is the first year that the ChromeBook has outsold the MacBook. And I'm sure people were just waiting for Apple to unveil the newer MacBooks(I know 2 people who were waiting to buy a new one for this reason). Not to mention Mac OS is a lot different compared to Chrome OS or the fact that the MacBook is also 10 times more expensive than the ChromeBook is.

Everyone thought google's chromebooks were going to be the next big thing too. Yet that vision dropped of the face of the planet... I doubt this phone will do well imo... It's just too late in the game.

 

Just going to say that Chromebooks, while not "as good" as Macbooks, they are basically for different markets entirely. Chromebooks are for students/schools for easy use and not much to worry about. Macbooks are just overpriced with a bit more power depending on which one you get.

 

Ok, but the Ara was a cool idea right?

 

Yes, while Project Ara was an amazing idea, no one really went for it. It was more of a fad. It was a really popular idea that never really got people to make mods for Ara, therefore, it just slowly died off.

They may have sold more this year, but since Apple is making almost 1k per Mac and Google is making more like 200 per laptop, Apple comes out on top. My point is... I doubt this phone will do well because I think the market in Smartphones is already far too down the road for them to jump in now. But hey, we'll just have to see when the phone is revealed.

Well it will just be like one of their Nexus phones, which always the best Android phones every year, except made by Google, which won't be that different considering that they have made 8 Nexus phones already.

I don't like the design of it to be honest, the front of it looks very similar to the Samsung phones and to be completely honest iPhones in my opinion have always had a better design. #TeamiPhone realistically these phones most likely aren't going to be as successful as iPhones and Samsung because they aren't as hyped as the other phone company's. I haven't even heard of the google phone until I came across this forum page.
