Which one do you guys think is the best for the price? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227678 - Choice 1 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883102243 - Choice 2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=1VK-01JD-00099 - Choice 3 P.S. I'm not one for building my own rig. I really don't trust myself and even though everyone says it isn't as hard as it looks, I know I'll screw something up. Link to comment

Everyone has trouble build the first time. Anyway out of those three I would go with the iBuyPower one but go though ibuypower.com instead of buying one of newegg. 1 Link to comment

Ham Posted October 21, 2016 Content Count: 202 Joined: 09/21/16 Status: Offline Share Posted October 21, 2016 You really should build your own. The cost difference alone should be enough, but also being able to know the exact ins and outs of your PC is a blessing when having to troubleshoot. Whatever you heard about it being easy, it's even easier then that. There are numerous tutorials and literal step by step guides to help you along the way. Plus, it's just fun and it's so rewarding when you finally boot it up and everything works. Trust me, down the line when your prebuilt is slowing down you will regret not building your own and not being able to spend that extra cash on a better video card (those 3 PCs you posted all have 1060s, yuck). PLUS you have an entire community of tech savvy people, some of which have plenty of experience building PCs and would love to help you choose the parts and price it all out. I really can't stress how much better it is to build your own. 1 Link to comment
SkinnyDips Posted October 21, 2016 Content Count: 179 Joined: 04/22/16 Status: Offline Share Posted October 21, 2016 I dont understand why people buy prebuilt pcs, unless its the computer is free. Like ham said, there are so many advantages of building a pc. AND ITS NOT EVEN HARD!. I am 14 and I built my own computer. My cousin was 12 and he build his own computer. All the pcs you showed were more expensive, AND WORSE then the one i built. I know this is mainly for laptops, but many companies use downgraded versions of the components in there rigs to make it sound better when it really isnt. Build it yourself, and you know exactly what is in your pc. There is so much info, so many tutorials it isnt even that difficult to get help. I am one of the most un-handy people I know. you are not going to break anything or destroy anything unless you smash the fucking pc on the ground. Its also a learning experience. 1 Link to comment

I really can't stress how much better it is to build your own. Exactly this, Im not exactly technically inclined to begin with, and I did the same thing where I was going to buy a regular HP desktop from Bestbuy last year, but I was strongly recommended to build my own. All you need its time to building it and patience as it does take some reading. Other than that, when I built my computer it went pretty smooth, just took time to make sure everything was correct before starting it up. I used this website, https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/ Also this website lets you pick each piece and ensures its compatible with all of the parts your going to buy. You can see completed builds that other people have done and there are tons of guides here as well. You can save a lot of money building it yourself and you can get a much better computer. 1 Edited October 21, 2016 by matt Link to comment

Are you okay with spending a few hundred dollars more in a pre-built when you could use that money to beef up your pc if you built it yourself? 1 Link to comment
Solid Posted October 22, 2016 Content Count: 119 Joined: 04/28/16 Status: Offline Share Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) Okay, so with the help of the fantastic Grimreaper, I was able to pick out the parts I want for building a PC under $1000: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/x3kGkT NOTE:The correct case I want to use wasn't on the website so I chose the closest I could. The CPU on Amazon is the same price, but actually 3.9 GHz I'm gonna use Amazon for all the parts (Amazon prime YEA) And when I put all the parts into my cart, it was approx $910 total including tax Did I miss anything needed/necessary? @LampShade @Ham @Skinny @matt @Jake Edited October 22, 2016 by Solid Link to comment

Also the CPU cooler comes with thermal paste. And if you are planning to use wifi don't get a small little thing like that. This is what I have and it works great. Of chose you probably don't have as fast of internet as I do so something like this would do best. Link to comment
