Fast downloads active on jb?

 

Spent about 10 mins downloading a map and all of the skins were downloading and skipping according to the console.

 

have a new install of CSGO so i don't have any of the maps/skins and figure it would be a good test. but i will say with a clean install i use to fly though the downloads if it was a clean install.

@Stylez the skipping existing file seems fine as far as I can tell. Sounds like your system already had the file. So it just skipped it. To my knowledge it's when it starts saying "missing file" that I start getting worried.

 

Maybe delete the entire folder and reconnect. Folder in reference being csgo/materials/models/player/custom_player/starwars/darth_vader

 

As for if fast dl is up, I can't attest to that.

Colored chat is not showing up. Makes me activate it every game. Same with tags I believe.

Been experiencing a weird knife bug on JB similar to the golden knife bug on TTT which doesn't allow you to do damage.

 

I basically knife someone, I hear the damage sound but I don't actually damage them (even though I'm well within the knifing distance).

 

Don't know if this is related to the recent changes but it's probably worth posting here.

 

EDIT : This only happens on rare occasions, it's not extremely game breaking but more of a confusing nuisance.

Retro said that it is hit reg. He said that no matter how many times he has tried, he can't fix it. He even tried removing each plug in to see if that one was the problem and none of that fixed it. I guess it has to do with all the plug ins colliding. Anyway, to kill someone with a knife you pretty much have to be right up against them for it to do any damage. Even though it gives you the sound.

The server is up and running, but Gametracker still says it's offline on the Servers tab. Nothing game breaking, but I usually check the servers tab to know if the servers are populated.
