Apparently there are currently issues with loading the map, the server gives the following error:

 

CModelLoader::Map_IsValid: No such map 'maps\ttt_hotelvalkyrie_b1.bsp'

map load failed: ttt_hotelvalkyrie_b1 not found or invalid

 

Gotta figure out what's causing this so until then it's best not to play it yet.

For @SL4DE and @arottenpickle, if there's a map that gives some kind of error that says it's not part of a mapgroup in console when you try to switch to it and it crashes the server, add it into gamemodes_server.txt as I did for this map, for reference in the future."

 

Could it be the same issue for this map @XeNo?

 

e: I know what's possibly causing the issue thanks to Mr.Muesli. It's a packing issue with the map, I used pakrat which is apparantly broken for CS:GO so I'll have to recompile the map and repack it, doing it the right way. @arottenpickle

The map looks great. There is plenty of space to hide or run around. The elevator is a plus as well. However, there is one thing that's bugging me. When I look out the windows of the building, I see a forest. But, when I look outside the elevator's windows, I see a city. What is this sorcery?

We took the oppurtunity to test the map a hour ago due to the low server population @arottenpickle, which was a good thing to do as there were a couple of issues that definitely need to be fixed before this is good to be added to the rotation. The things I will be working on:

 

- Players jumping on other players in the elevator makes players drop out of it and/or get stuck (This will be killable).

- Higher the floor below the elevator so ID'ing bodies will be easier.

- Some doors have collision (I don't know how I managed to do that) but these will be fixed.

- The elevator sound tends to loop at times, I'm going to see if I can fix this.

- The speed of the elevator is too slow right now, will increase this.

- Another option to get to the different floors (this will speed the rounds up more) probably going to do this by extending the stairs in the main hallway (the one that is currently non-accessible).

 

Any other suggestions before I release the version with all things above added/fixed? @SL4DE, @Suri, @Mad Dogg, @IaS, @Fridthiof, @Moo Moo Viking

Add the Steamgamers ad inside and have it outside. you can still add an elevator door and from that have just a ladder that will go up?

Players glitching other players in the elevator is something I can't change with 'func_tracktrain' unfortunately, not unless I completely change the way how the elevator works (making it a func_movelinear). However if they manage to drop out of the elevator there will be a trigger_hurt waiting for them that insta kills. This should hopefully refrain players from doing so as it's pretty much considered RDM. Also created another way to move around to the different floors, not exactly how I've planned it to be but it works.

 

This is yet again another beta version of the map (If all goes well, this should stay on rotation so it can receive more feedback). Any feedback/suggestions before the final version gets released is appreciated.

Great map, @Paralyzed

 

One suggestion: please clip the stairs! Very annoying to see your view bouncing so much when going up stairs. You don't seem to have any spiral stairs so it should be easy.

 

A lot of user-made maps ignore this unfortuantely.

 

I will say that the map seems very very big on first few plays and it's near impossible to find the stairs to go up. I also don't like the invisible wall in front of the main stairs, at least put some props or some kind of visible barrier to give a reason why we can't go up, like maybe it's under construction?
