I've been thinking about how we could implement an award for the scrim server and I finally came up with an idea.

 

You will receive an award based on how many wins you have. It won't be easy, you'll have to get a substantial amount but it would be something to consider. People enjoy joining the scrim server already but for the members that are completionists and want to get that diamond award this would be another way to populate the scrim server. Now it can be round wins or actual game wins.

 

Ex. Game Wins

Bronze - 25 wins.

Silver - 50 wins

Gold - 100 wins

Diamond - 250 wins.

 

Ex. Round Wins

Bronze - 100

Silver - 250

Gold - 500

Diamond - 1000

 

The numbers can fluctuate depending on the amount the community finds fit that was just an example I came up with.

 

I would actually prefer if it were counted towards actual game wins, then if this was added we could also have a leaderboard similar to JB that could instead of tracking your K/D ratio it would track your W/L ratio.

I think the numbers are way too high. 2000 wins would take multiple years. I've been playing csgo for a while now and only have 123 wins in comp and scrim is dead most of the time. No way someone would hit anywhere near 1 or 2k. The round wins are debatable. For someone to unlock diamond, they'd have to get 125 game wins, which again, will be extremely difficult because of how dead scrim usually stays. If it was tweaked a bit more to work around how scrim is populated then it's a great idea.

I like the Round Win numbers. Not so much the Game Win numbers.

 

 

Keep in mind that scrims can last to almost 90 minutes, just like in competitive, maybe even more if you consider overtime.

I'm up for that, but 250 wins is WAY too much. I got 750 comp wins in 4 years, and that's excluding losses. Scrims isn't active enough to let someone ever reach 250 games played in total, if he wins all of them.

 

We could go with hours, something like 50 won games for gold, but they need to be tweaked a little.

 

I'd max the Diamond with a MAX of 100 won matches. Even then, maybe it should be PLAYED matches, because we don't want to punish bad players, winning is optional on a fun server like scrims.

While I do think that this is a really nice idea, I agree with everyone that the numbers are pretty high and that I'd prefer round wins > game wins

Silver - 15 games won

Gold - 35 games won

Diamond- 75 games won

 

But another issues is how are the rounds won counted or more like how can we look up rounds won. I'm to tag @Black Rain so she might be able to help us. after all she runs the server.

This is a great suggestion, matches played would be a great replacement for rounds/games won. It would be accessible to all members good or bad. The server would become more populated due to the new award. (This is a 50/50, Forums awards might not be as popular as I make them out to be)

 

If we were to make it matches played then we should go with an example similar to this due to the scrim server is only active when 10 players within the community want to play.

My guess is that tracking players total matches played or total wins like that isn't possible. There's a slight chance that someone could make a plugin to track these stats, but again, it's doubtful that it would be compatible with the scrim system in use.
