Most components in a laptop cannot be replaced, either because of the way the laptop is built (e.g. parts are soldered on) or because individual parts are hard to come by/very pricey. MAYBE you could upgrade the RAM, but it's totally dependent on the laptop itself. A quick google search with the model of your laptop should give you results.

Most likely not, as ham said. That is the true benefit of building a pc, because they are so upgradable. Also, although upgrading your ram can make your computer faster, it will have no effect on gaming performance.

the IT in me is cringing

a laptop IS a PC, you're talking about desktop computers for upgrade ability, and ram can affect your performance IF you're using 100% of it already

Don't upgrade a laptop

Save up and build a desktop computer

I said building a pc is good because it is easy to upgrade. When did I say a laptop wasn't a pc.

The best thing you can do to a laptop is changing the Hard Drive into a SSD (Solid State Drive). This should cut down onto boot up time, loading time, and overall speed of your laptop.

Might have to look up a video on how to install a SSD if its possible with your laptop. and transferring your operating system from your hard drive to a new SSD.
