Paralyzed Posted January 6, 2017 Content Count: 3729 Joined: 10/14/07 Status: Offline Share Posted January 6, 2017 So since a few days ago my Razer Kraken 7.1 suddenly keeps disconnecting, and then trying to reconnect. I don't know if it's an issue within windows vista or that my headset is simply dying. I haven't done anything sudden that could cause my headset to break, but I did notice that it tends to disconnect when moving my head and then reconnects when I go back into the old position (before it dc'd) which makes me think the cable connected to my headset is broken, so therefore my headset is also. Any suggestions? Link to comment

I'm currently running some windows updates and will see if there any updates for my sound drivers. Will get back to here if none of the things mentioned in this post resolved anything. Stunningjam Posted January 9, 2017 Content Count: 1468 Joined: 06/27/10 Status: Offline Share Posted January 9, 2017 I choked when I saw Windows Vista. My headphones used to disconnect and reconnect. They were different, logitech g633, so it had a detachable cable (might be the g933 idk). I eventually replaced the cable and I haven't had it do this since. It most likely is the cable. I'm not sure if Razer Kraken is a built-in cable or if you can change them easily, but there's a good chance that it's the cable. Link to comment
Paralyzed Posted January 12, 2017 Content Count: 3729 Joined: 10/14/07 Status: Offline Share Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Alrighty, I've upgraded to Windows 10. I got all the recent windows updates now, so hopefully that fixes everything (this wasn't the case before the upgrade as it was always stuck trying to retrieve updates). I haven't found the time yet to experiment with it though, but once I do... fingers crossed. E: Everything works fine again and I haven't experienced any issues ever since.
