Insidious Posted January 10, 2017 Content Count: 539 Joined: 07/14/16 Status: Offline Share Posted January 10, 2017 So I got a new headset, the RIG 500 - Platronics, and I plugged them in and the headphones seem to be working fine but the microphone doesn't work. Firstly, I plugged it into my headset jack on my Laptop and I could hear out of the headphones but my microphone didn't pick up any sound. I checked the box and it also came with a plug that splits it into a headphone plug and microphone plug. I plugged those in accordingly and I could still here fine out of the headphones but then everyone in teamspeak/skype could only here my computer sounds "Youtube, CS:GO, etc., and not my microphone. Does anyone have a solution or know what's wrong? Help would be much appreciated Link to comment
Halo Posted January 10, 2017 Content Count: 890 Joined: 06/26/16 Status: Offline Share Posted January 10, 2017 Make sure your primary microphone in your settings is your headset, go to settings-microphone-right click on your headset and hit enable and disable your old mic. If that doesn't work go to steam and change it there. 1 Link to comment

See, the problem is that I've already tried this, and the microphone doesn't show up under "Recording Devices." Any other suggestions? Link to comment
