Why should we remove it

Basically every time I play on this map it gets voted to skip, Although it depends on which CTs are playing because it is defiantly a CT sided map. Overall it is not beneficial for our server. The look of the entire map is not "prison themed" as well as the entire layout is mainly DGs which are no longer going to be forced. There isn't many places to rebel.

 

It's really irritating having a map that is in the rotation that gets skipped the majority of the time because then the overplayed maps will continuously be in cycle more often which some people find a benefit but it gets stale after a while. Overall please get rid of this map.

The map is difficult but it is not impossible to rebel on in my opinion. Also, I don't think the "prison theme" really has to be a thing, we have some maps that don't really follow a prison theme and work well. Yes while most of the games on the map are deathgames the map can still be used, we shouldn't get rid of it just because it has a lot of death games.

I completely agree with Jake; I actually love this map because of all the fun death games (Especially the Soccer Cars game.) Even though death games won't be forced they can still be voluntary. This map is still extremely fun in my opinion.

I honestly don't see why getting skipped means it isn't beneficial. You can put up a removal for every map besides razor and use that as a reason. Every map, every time, a little kid will scream at the top of his lungs yelling "RTV Freeday!". After new people see others typing rtv, they do too. Lots of maps get skipped immediately every time played, but when we don't have those people the map is quite fun.

 

I can also see why you can call it a CT sided map, but it's honestly easy to rebel with a ladder right into armory from underground.

lol I was on the server undercover when you guys RTV'd this and I heard that someone was gonna request a removal of this map just because it was "complete shit".

 

 

Whatever the reason may be for removing this map, I find this map to be pretty good, actually. Even with the Forced Deathgame rule about to go out of business, what people are now forgetting is that you can ask Ts to volunteer for a deathgame. Just cause you're limited to one forced DG doesn't mean you can't ask the Ts if they wanna do another one.

 

I'd like this map to stay.

I suppose it isn't beneficial because a lot of people leave when this map get's selected. Although a better option would be to just not vote for it. We selected it, why bitch about it after?

The issue I have with this map is that EVERY time I play it, someone always says RTV for a freeday and it eventually gets skipped within a few rounds. I admit I was the one that said I was going to make a thread about this because of the reason it gets skipped every time it is played, I however did not say "its complete shit" that may have been someone else. Anyways the map overall isn't that fun to play on. The ones that say it's easy to rebel, please I don't see how you are saying that when you can't even play on the map if its being skipped. I've probably played on it once or twice for the compete time limit.

 

Also the DGs are going to be useless once the rule is removed, you can't really say "you'll still be able to play them voluntarily" but let's be honest nobody plays DGs by volunteering. Overall the map is basically all DGs.

 

My most important issue is that it isn't fun. Over the past week when I played on this map I haven't seen anyone actually enjoy it. The way our server is (crouch was soccer be in pitch, shift walk pool be in water, etc) it isn't optimal to keep on the server. Most of the players that have been saying this aren't on the forums so I am speaking not only for myself but the ones that play regularly that don't go on the forums. (The children of JB and the ones that aren't interesting in joining the forums) Please hear me out, those who have commented please give me more of a reason why we should keep this map other than "the deathgames are fun) I read over all of your comments and basically that is the only reason I can see.

Plenty of DGs on that map are fun to play, and when certain people are on they will volunteer to play with no problem.

Earlier in your post you said that you don't see how we're saying that it's easy to rebel when the map is always being skipped. I can say the same thing here, how can you tell people aren't enjoying it if it gets skipped? And how can you base that statement off the 2 times you've said you've played the full time limit.

Not sure what you mean by this, but if you mean the activities aren't there, they are. Feel free to tell me if you meant something different.

 

I don't see a problem with the map, like I said earlier, if we went off the basis that the map gets immediately skipped we need to remove quite a bit of our map list.

Since you have more experience with this map @Dominic I can't give very strong points on why this map should be removed. You are right on that part and I may change my opinion the more I play on the map. Overall the main reason I thought the map should be removed is because since the DGs weren't going to be able to be forced anymore the map wouldn't have as much value. I haven't played on it enough to know all of the DGs or which ones are voluntarily entertaining so I can put solid input on that topic. Since it was always skipped I figured no one enjoyed playing on the map but through the feedback given on this thread I can admit that I was wrong.
