The internet was sent into a meltdown last night, as a games forum member claimed to have received their Nintendo Switch unit early.

 

With the console releasing on March 3rd , for anyone to receive their console two weeks early via a supposed retail mess-up seems like an absurd claim.

 

 

While Nintendo have revealed the device and invited games journalists to get 'hands on' with the upcoming hybrid console, the games giant had hoped to carefully control the publicity access until launch.

 

 

However, users on NeoGAF erupted with excitement anyway, after user Hiphoptherobot posted some very convincing pictures of their supposed early arrival.

 

We remained doubtful ourselves, until user Hiphoptherobot posted a video of the Switch's UI, all but confirming that they really did have the console in their hands.
