Octa Posted February 27, 2017 Content Count: 2103 Joined: 05/25/09 Status: Offline Share Posted February 27, 2017 (edited) I encourage admins to tread extremely lightly if you choose to follow this advice. For the most part, we will not tolerate admins making up rules to serve their own agenda. "Better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission" does not apply in this situation at all. While you are right, making up rules is bad, you have to admit that there are some rules that are vague enough to need different interpretations, rules that can clash, and that JB is a very "case by case" server. I see where he was coming from, and I see where you are coming from as well. I would hardly say he was giving advice, as over the years, I've seen so many different uses of the rules by admin that what he said is more like an observation to me. I'm not trying to discredit you or say you are wrong, it's just I don't think Kuro was trying to tell people to go bending the rules this way and that, but more like the rules are somewhat fluid in a lot of cases. Same goes for TTT to a lesser extent. Btw Hi, long time no see Edit: Also, now that I think about it, my post is kind of off topic and pointless, so feel free to disregard it Edited February 27, 2017 by Octa Link to comment
Caution Posted February 28, 2017 Content Count: 11501 Joined: 10/19/08 Status: Offline Share Posted February 28, 2017 Hi. "Advice" is semantics - the point being use caution listening to the words that were typed on the specific portion of the post I quoted. Link to comment
