slalom Posted April 5, 2017 Content Count: 422 Joined: 11/25/16 Status: Offline Share Posted April 5, 2017 (edited) Not gonna lie, I'm of course one of those people that thoroughly enjoyed it when there wasn't the LR Plugin, but I will try to say this about as unbiased as I can. While I am not gonna disagree that the LR Plugin IS extremely fun, it has it's problems. The only plus that it adds to the server, in my opinion, is that it adds a fun, new, and enjoyable way to play some fun LR's; however, as fun as the LRs are, it screws up the game waaaaay too much. I will try to give a few examples: A T can kill a CT(s) then as he is getting shot at can quickly type !lr and activate Mag4Mag and pick a CT, cause him to lose his weapons, and the T can kill him quickly. The CT has no way of declining this LR and cannot kill the T even though he is supposed to be KOS. ONE CT can be left with 2 T's and one of the T's can force an LR onto the CT, meanwhile the other T can just rebel (go to armory or something) and the CT can't do anything about it. The fact that the LR completely takes away the CT's guns and the fact that he can't harm any other T's kinda messes things up. Also, after LR is complete, the CT NEVER gets his guns back, SO if the LR was Race and the CT wins, then he is stuck with a knife and the T could have picked an ending spot where a lot of T's are. If the LR was Mag4Mag and the CT wins, then he is stuck with a deagle that has no ammo left in it, while the T's could be rebelling and he is left useless. If a T picks race, he can delay the whole round if he picks a spot where he can block the CT from getting to the end point, and no one can kill the T or the CT because they are both invincible. While classic LR's can still be given, I believe this command can be abused in SO many ways. I'm not gonna lie, most of the LR's are pretty fun, some are dumb, but unless it can be changed drastically, I extremely dislike the plugin. KOS T's can become invincible, T's can force LRs onto CT's, and it becomes a hassle for CT's to deal with other T's whilst being forced into an LR. To end this, I'm not saying scratch the idea and say whatever; all I'm saying is that I think a few of these things should be tweaked, worked on, changed, fixed, etc. Thank you. EDIT: Also, I'm not seeing some of these LRs when I do !lr i.e. the special knife fights, dodgeball, etc. (idk if they were removed or sumthin) This sums it all up really well in my opinion. It's a really good idea, but I saw it get abused A LOT when I played with the plugin this morning. The only thing I really liked were the knife fights cause they're are enjoyable no matter what. It can still get abused however. The Mag4Mag can be seriously abused and hot potato is broken. The plugin LRs should be deniable (if the t is kos or not) and if it's stays like this I'd seriously prefer the old LRs. Edited April 5, 2017 by Christinho Link to comment

Be patient and try not to bitch out the guys working on this, their trying their hardest. Deniable LR's and Rebelling Ts requesting LR's LR's being deniable kinda defeats the purpose of having the plugin to speed up rounds. LR's are already deniable when a T is rebelling* it asks the CT through if he would like to play or not. LR's getting sabotaged/CTs not getting their weapons back The cause concern about 1 CT being alive while 2 T's are alive doesn't matter too much as the Prisoners cannot really interfere with the last request, I do understand that the end of the Last Request can be sabotaged though. In case anyone was wondering this is exactly how it works "Players can not attack players in LR and players in LR can not attack players outside LR". As for CT's getting their weapons back. I wonder why CTs wouldn't why they wouldn't, it's really a kinda odd thing not to have on the plugin. I don't know this for sure but if we enable CT payloads (causes CTs to spawn with guns) we may be able to fix this issue as it MAY give CTs a payload after the LR is complete. @Delirium Don't take my word on that, it's just an idea because I refuse to believe that this plugin doesn't support that. It might be that it's meant for only 1-2 people to do LR's and not the 3 we have it set at currently. Just an idea, we can always lower the LR Plugins T player count to 2 and still allow people to custom LR at 3- it's a bit convoluted but if we can't fix that it's gonna be a bitch. Blocking Race Finish Line I see the issue, but it is kinda petty (IMO). If someone is going to purposefully troll with it they should/will catch a slay/kick/ban. Overwhelming CT(s) with multiple LR's This is a pretty legitimate concern. As I said above : I think we should disable the ability for multiple Ts to be able to LR at once as it makes the CTs job much more difficult or in cases where there is only 1-3 CT's- nearly impossible. Try to be patient while it gets worked in boys cause if it does get fixed up it will add much more content & fun into the server. It's fucking hilarious to screw around with it playing Rock Paper Scissors and Russian Roulette. Check it out. P.S. Remember when I said not to bitch at the people working on it? There is this guy named @Nimmy trying to make LR's deniable. If you have problems with the plugin please let him know. (in all seriousness do we have any TAs capable of doing this kinda thing?) So if you picked knife fight, no other CTs can damage you except for the one your LRing while you casually use your !explode bind. Hilarious. 2 Link to comment
