Rework General Gaming sub

imo the General Gaming sub has too many stickies some of them useless (Arma 3 Field Manual) and some locked for seemingly no reason (PS3 Network and Xbox Live Gamertags) could do with a nice clean up and merges.

 

My proposals-

Remove the following stickies:

Nintendo 3DS Friend Code List

PS3 Network & Xbox Live Gamertags

Post your Diablo 3 Battle Tag

Arma 3 Field Manual

 

 

 

Make a new sticky for ALL usernames to go in for the following: Usernames and Gamer Tags!

Steam usernames,

Battle.net,

Origin,

PSN usernames,

Xbox Live usernames,

Nintendo friend codes,

 

ETC...

I think what I might do is get it actually working on the profile pages. Get them to display correctly there. Have some kind of link on the postbit for ease of access to any specific person on the forum. Let me get through this SSL change and I'll get some ideas together. For now, I'll leave the stickies as they are, they are useful but my goal will be to replace it with something that is linked to the forum profile.

Looking to do this Username/GamerTag thing, is there any other games or platforms I should consider adding that Frosty didn't include above? I may not be able to include every little thing and may need to prioritize so don't think that because you suggested it, it will be included.

I've begun installing this feature to display on post bits. I've only got the 3 so far. I need someone to show me what an xbox, ps4 and nintendo profile link looks like so I can do those. I'm not sure how the Minecraft is going to look/work yet so I'll comeback around.

I have added the Xbox and PS stuff. Not sure how to add the MC stuff as its kinda like blizzard where there are no user profiles.

 

EDIT: I have found a glitch in how Steam handles its shit. If you put in the 64 bit number it probably won't work as it wants to use a different url that redirects to the custom url one which does currently work for our system.

 

I'll need to think about how to fix this.

Is this only if you have a custom steam url? Working fine for me when using the 64 number.
