[Rejected] Adding A Private Complaint Section

When you complain about someone you may get backlash, this is for the future and now.

Shouldn't the person(s) the complaint is about have a say in the matter to explain their side of the story?

 

As it is right now, only involved parties are allowed to post anything on the complaints anyway, which is exactly how it should be imo.

Not sure if this is like if you just don't like someone or some petty shit, or like what. Literally no information on what you actually want except for "backlash". If someone is causing problems and it goes beyond a player complaint then Forum message a higher up or PM them on Steam with the details. Otherwise just like make a player complaint?

You can always PM an AO+ if you feel like something shouldn't be said in public

I don't really see the point of this. If they are breaking a rule and won't stop, make a complaint and they will get banned. If they are involved enough to get on the forums to see why they were banned, then we would have to tell them anyways as they would likely appeal it.

 

If it's about a more personal matter like consistent harassment, then PM a higher up about it. And even then, if action is taken against them, they will probably find out why.

Like others have said. I'd recommend making players complaint and please try sticking to them (unless it's a really sensitive and/or private thing), as they are easier to deal with and it's a lot faster than just PM'ing one higher up. When you do PM a higher up though, remember to put the same details and proof as you would in a player complaint. Same goes for admin complaints.

This is very unnecessary.

 

From what I'm getting here, you wish to add a section which allows for private player complaints. Even to that extent, what you state in your latest post: "petty shit", can be easily dealt with through Private Messages between the 'victims' or by messaging AO+ about the issue.

 

I would make this post longer but I noticed that Octa posted too and his post is pretty much what I would have said anyways.

 

If there is another reason for why you wish to have a private complaint section besides having to take 'backlash', please clarify what it is you want to add in your posts.

I'd be fine with the complaints to be open to everyone to comment, as long as the comments are relevant to the problem. Like if Cyclops gets a complaint made against him and I'm online when it happened, I should be allowed to post my view of what happened.

 

I know it won't happen, because there's some here that would only use it to shitpost.
