[Answered] Longer Ban Times For Mass Freekilling

With The instance with the two goons freekilling for 8 rounds today, and them currently getting a ban for two days, i believe the minumum ban for Mass freekilling should be 30 days. If they really have an explanation for this, they could just appeal.

Might aswell make all intentional bans 30 days since they all are basically doing the griefing, right?

Max ban time for freekliling is 3 days but racism is for 7 days

 

Some guy can mass freekill for rounds and ruin player's fun but god forbid they drop the N bomb.

 

But a minimum of 30 days is a bit too long

TBH I've always found it a bit weird we only do short bans, and don't instant ban for clear cut cases of mass freekill that is on purpose.

 

Whilst theres been a slight relexation of the latter, the ban length should be longer. Just think, if your trying to keep people on the server, the biggest turn off is if they can't actually play the gamemode through getting killed constantly.

What about 2 weeks? 14 days is a fair punishment for blatant rule breaking, and it might discourage them from coming back. I know I'd just move on to another server if I was a griefer.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure if ban times matter all that much TBH. A max of a week for most things seems reasonable for me, and even then I usually only ban for more than 1-2 days if it is their second ban. I can't see a reason to ban someone for longer than that TBH.

 

If someone randomly joined the server to start freekilling, chances are they won't come back after they are banned anyways. If it is a regular, then he would just appeal a 30 day ban to get it reduced, because honestly that's way too long for a first time ban.

 

I could see you asking for the max length to be upped to a week, because honestly I could agree with that. But 30 days is too long IMO.

Basically the theory here for shorter max ban lengths is if they truly are here to grief and nothing else they'll be permed within 2 weeks.

 

Also your thoughts on if they want to explain their sympathies for an appeal for a shorter ban they'd be unbanned within that first week anyway, so cut the "paperwork" and the middleman.
