Max ban time for freekliling is 3 days but racism is for 7 days

 

Some guy can mass freekill for rounds and ruin player's fun but god forbid they drop the N bomb.

 

But a minimum of 30 days is a bit too long

 

I agree whole-heartedly with this. Give freekill a maximum of 7 days depending on what the situation is. Freekilling is a big deal on PB, it deserves to be treated as such.

3 days is too little, 30 days is over the top. I assume the intention of banning people is to stop them from being dipshits, and to hopefully let them come back & play . What it really comes down to is, how long do we think it takes for someone with Malicious intent to realize they fucked up? Honestly, looking at it that way 30 days doesn't sound crazy but there is more to it than just that- even if they can appeal it & explain.

 

I brought this same topic up in the community meeting weeks ago along with a discussion about how slaying, kicking, then banning mass freekillers for 3 days is a terrible waste of time for everyone involved. It's likely the guy comes back and does it again at that point, he's wasted a lot of the admins/players time and it forces an admin to follow protocol so they just end up waiting for 20+ minutes for the guy to start up freekilling again.

 

I wanted to see them catch a week ban if they were clearly just trying to grief & didn't just misunderstand the gamemode- misunderstanding the game mode is understandable. I find it absolutely ridiculous someone can fuck with a good 30 minutes of 20+ players lives and get a few days of ban time for it. The problem with allowing admins to ban for a week or even a month for something like that is that atleast one is more than likely to hand out bans that didn't necessarily deserve a week ban or more.

 

Possibly looking into allowing mass freekillers who are in player complaints bans to have higher bans, and admins making increase requests who have it on record is a good way to put things in the hands of people who are likely to make better decisions IMO. Personally, the contributing reason why I've begun to vote strict as fuck on admin applications is because we really are suffering when we can't make changes like this to circumvent rule breakers due to the fear of admins fucking up.

 

Seeing the sheer amount of griefers and mass freekillers/rdmers who join PB/TTT on a daily basis, even if this doesn't go through something should change because it's simply ruining people's time on our servers.
