Bring bhop back 28 members have voted

Bhop was a great server in sg, I believe that it even though there were only the select few that actually played it, it was fun and provided a sense of compitition with others for the top record. I remember when I used to play for hours on end on the meme itself, bhop_exodus_fix just to get halfway and being unable to extend. Though I see tha new courses in MG, it's not the same in my opinion because there will always be those people who rtv when you're at the 98th level on a 100 level course.

You ask for bhop and yet you say only a select few would play the reason we switched off bhop was because the population suffered for months. We have no reason to drag a server that lacks a strong population and we didn't have a strong player base that would commit to playing it on a daily basis. We introduced it back a while ago in high hopes that people would actually play it often and we'd gain a lot of newcomers, but it didn't turn out that way. I don't think we plan on bringing it back any time soon.

See remember everyone got on the BRING BACK CASUAL TRAIN. Yeah remember how we said if we bring back the server we would keep it popular and shit ... Same thing is prob going to happen if we bring back bhop.. fun for a week or two then DEAD

The thing is, while I have high hopes for ZRiot unless it starts getting a good population or at least a select few playing it I don't see why we'd rather a dead server than a server that may not have a high population but does have a good amount of SG members enjoying it.

 

But I still have a feeling ZRiot can do well and I think it'd be fair to give it more time.

Tbh I don't see it hurtful to give the Bhop server a second chance, that's what happened with Casual but that didn't go well :/

 

Earlier I did ask several people on Minigames how they felt about maybe a Bhop server, I heard quite a few people say "Yes, I love bhopping" so it's pretty requested from my point of view.

 

If Bhop were to come back though, I would keep it up for a bit to see how it would do, and if it the outcome is bad like last time, then we can ditch getting a Bhop server again, I would play the fuck out of it like I did before, and like Porpoise said, it does bring a sense of competition to a really fun game mode.

 

So my answer: Bring it back for a little bit, see how it does, if it does shit like before, just ditch it.

The surf server and timer are designed specifically for surf, and there is little compatibility in it for bhop maps, or other game modes for that matter. Gamemodes like these are unfortunately not meant to be mixed.

no no no no no no no no no no no no, I hate bhopping and so do a lot of people who play mg, a lot of people hate Bhop when it's selected as one mini game so I couldn't imagine a whole map. It'd probably get rtved instantly or kill the population. Imo Bhop is dead and there's no point of bringing it back for awhile, sorry @Reid99
