Don't blame the player. Blame the owners for not restricting the awp and the r8 as well as other ridiculous weapon choices for ZE. In any case' date=' I agree with akumu about right click. More maps should use alt fire instead of the use key for items. Only downside is that it might become more prone to "accidental" use.[/quote']

 

Yeaah, because we have to make the decisions for you. Sometimes, sometimes, you hope people can think for themselves and be like "Hey, this map has a lot of defending areas, bosses etc, perhaps it's not really ideally to use an AWP in this kind of situation". Perhaps asking people to apply common sense and think for themselves is a little too much to ask and we should indeed force a weapon restriction to help. As in regards to this thread, it's rejected.

I know the thread is essentially dead now but I'll at least say this. Lots of randoms on the server refuse to listen to reason and buy m4s, AUGs, AWPs, the works. It's hard to persuade people to buy other types of weapons when they see their favorite xyz weapon of choice available. Recently though, the skillcap of current regulars understand that that isn't the best course of action. But that doesn't happen all the time.

Here is a prime example: stage 4 legend of Zelda stone tower temple. The boss literally requires EVERYONE with a Negev to be shooting at the boss. Yet for some reason there's always those 5-6 players who buy some stupid weapon either because they are trolling or they just don't care. It really gets in the way of victory of the map due to the selfishness of individuals.
