Not to mention quantum speed. https://www.ghacks.net/2017/03/31/firefox-photon-new-design-mockups-show-interface-and-more/ 1 Link to comment
Punky Posted October 11, 2017 Content Count: 1592 Joined: 03/16/12 Status: Offline Share Posted October 11, 2017 My firefox beta has been on the quantum update for a while now and while I could never get myself to use chrome, now I want to keep using firefox even more. It's fast and looks better than ever and even though a lot of extensions are obsolete now, pretty much all of those that I use will be updated to the new API, so I'm just patiently waiting for it to happen. 2 Link to comment
My Gym Partner's a Monkey Posted October 13, 2017 Content Count: 66 Joined: 07/04/17 Status: Offline Share Posted October 13, 2017 Is the updated interface ported over to GTK as well? Would definitely be willing to try it on my arch linux OS considering there's not a whole lot of appealing looking web browsers on linux (chromium/chrome is just straight ugly) Though I don't see the motivation forcing me to use it instead of the default Windows/Mac web browsers. The built in web browsers work pretty good for the most part unless there's some extension that either works better on other web browsers or doesn't exist on those standard web browsers. And if there is, chrome usually covers for that part of the user base. Link to comment
