Are you as excited as I am? Blizzard will add Vanilla-servers for those of us who misses the good old WoW without any of the expansion packs! Not any release date announced yet.

 

Thought I would never feel the urge to play WoW again. But if the chance comes back again to do the 40 man raid, no retarded looking for raid, gear you will actually have to work hard for, raids that would last hours upon hours, Alterac Valley where you couldn't just rush, fighting Onyxia etc etc... then I will be ready when the day comes

I'm definitely going to be trying out the vanilla servers. I reached 60 about a month before Burning Crusade came out so I never really got to raid in vanilla so I will definitely be doing that.

I play legion currently with an item level of 938, and I've been playing since I was five when wrath of the lich king came out. Hell, I have 6 wrath of the lich king collectors editions, 2 are unopened, and 2 are signed. My dad played WoW in vanilla often and was one of the top tier rouges at the time. I'm excited to experience vanilla as WoW has been one of the things that shaped me into who I am today. However, WoW classic also allows for others to go through ALL expansions, i.e. BC, Wrath, Cataclysm, Mists, and WoD.

I don't think the vanilla servers will give you that kind of a chance to go through ALL expansions like back in the old days, one expansion after the other. The whole idea' of vanilla servers is to stay true to the original wow.

Illegal private vanilla WoW servers are doing great because of the demand from players. This is probably why Blizzard are doing this, because it's obviously a market for it that has stayed alive ever since TBC came out for players who prefered vanilla.
