Should we add prizes? If so, which prizes? 17 members have voted

I was recently looking at some of the previous SGSL Tournament threads for reference and remembered about some of the perks given to those who ended up winning the tournament as well as coming in 2nd and 3rd place. I believe the prizes were store credits as well as an in-game tag that said something along the lines of "[sGSL 3v3 Tourney Winner]" if I am not mistaken.

 

I would not be against making credits a potential prize for winners/runner-ups however I had an idea to replace the in-game tag as Subs/VIPs can change their tags anyway. To be honest, I think a forum award specifically for SG Scrim Tournaments would be just as good because it gives people somewhat of an incentive and isn't something that anyone with a subscription can technically have (even if they didn't win the tournament).

 

Not really that important but I think it wouldn't hurt to have tbh. The only thing I can see against it is that it can technically be considered enough reason to receive the "Contest Winner" forum award.

 

Thoughts?

 

Also, didn't see someone already was thinking the same as myself. Will give props to @Swagbox for his post in the scrim signup thread.

 

and can we have like a winning price at the end of it. Like first place wins 10k store credits or something.

For newfags SGSL was all PREMADE.

SGSL was all about skill.

I understand some think giving awardd based on skill and "stacked teams" might not be fair but I'm sure there is a way we can all be happy with maybe forum awards, store credits etc.
