This version of the map has since been removed off of Gamebanana, and the Steam Workshop as it was taken without permission from it's original map developer and hence reported. This "updated version" of the map took the credit that the original map owner had within the radar off and completely claimed the map as his own.

 

The version of the map that was edited is the same version that frosty edited back a few months ago. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth that we rebranded this map as ours and that we went as far to remove the credit to the original map owner off of the radar when we only fixed minor parts of it. I'm not for adding this, because there is a difference between fixing a map and re-branding it as your own. As a map maker yourself I'm sure you understand why I feel this way. On to the remake this guy made itself, it contains a lot of spammy chat messages when you fall off the map, has multiple weapons we don't have on our servers (awps, scars, etc..) and obnoxiously advertises that this Princess guy made the map (which he didn't).

 

The only things I remotely like about this map is the big floppy techno-color cock and the few T traps.

 

Please do not add this if you guys have any respect for map makers.

I get what you mean; it's deffently a shame she took credit but this remake is more about what does it add compared to the other one we currently have.

 

Im all for editing the map to remove the spammy chat messages, pre round suicide teleport, awp/scar etc.

 

I forget where I found it but she got the ok to completely remake the map.

Ill have to find that ofcourse but couldn't the same be said about Electric? But thats for a other time.

 

Ive decompiled this version and the other two.

A lot was added to this version that really makes this the better version.

Its more than a reskin but i do agree credit should be given

No. The electric remake that Kirby did is completely different as it's extremely transformative from the original Electric, it's a revamp. This is clearly the same map with "more stuff to do". Kirby also did not claim to have made a map in which he didn't make. I don't know if you realize this but decompiling then recompiling maps is extremely frowned upon when it comes to mapping and more than that when people like this Princess person rebrand it as their own it is legitimately stealing credit.

 

This is not a complete remake. According to GameBanana "Permission from the original creator (CGMentos) of this map wasn't given for this submission" and it does not add anything monumental enough to add to our servers.

 

Please don't decompile this map yet again and remove/add anything to it. I really hope when you finish your map that people don't add a few things to it and steal your credit without permission- labeling it a "complete remake".
