Mass rdm protection

I believe we should have some sort of software or plug in that detects that a player is mass rdming, we already have a good and bad acton system, so I believe it would be easy to program a system that if a certain amount of "bad actions" a committed a round, the player is kicked, this can't discriminate against people who are set up, or disliked by a group of people, but if the karma system detects that 20(an example number) bad actions are commited they are either kicked, or calladmined, just for the well being of other players, this may seem rash, but we can consider that if a player commits 40 bad actions in round, they are probably rdming, or ghosting.

(This is greatly ambitious, the only reason I think it could work is if it's worked off the bad action system)

From a plugin point of view this would be very difficult, or at least from my experience. Especially to make sure it never falsely banned/kicked someone. Also by the time a player managed to do that much "damage" someone would have most likely called admin or messaged one.

My point of this is for when admins are busy, a kick is not going to harm anybody if they are committing enough bad actions.

Also

if (playername)_badactions => 40

then kick (playername)

end (that's all I believe you would name, just set up a variable table and run 5his plugin at the end of each round)

Plugins like this already exist, it wouldn't be hard to implement.

The problem is if someone makes a few mistakes, they shouldn't be kicked. That's why admins are there, to see and question things. I was playing on another server with a friend a couple weeks ago, and it literally auto-slayed you after one RDM. This is ridiculous in any form imo, unless it was like 5 RDMs you committed in a round.

I don't really think any form of this would be fair unless it was extreme cases where it then wouldn't be that useful.

That's what I mean, it's not too harm to program depending on the language csgo plug-ins are written in, and could protect against someone ring people 5 times in a round, and could au to magically kick people if they are obviously mass rdming.

Yes a kick wouldn't harm anybody. But what happens if they don't care and keep joining back. Then the plugin would either become useless, or you would have to implement a more complicated plugin to deal with bans, ban time, ext. And also stated on the fact a kick doesn't hurt anybody, as @Dominic stated a server auto slayed him and he got discouraged to play. A kick could make players feel like they don't want to keep playing on the server, I think that one reason SG stands out is because we don't use all of these automated systems to manage our servers. We have admins that you can discuss an issue with in case you were not at fault, or you need to ask question.

I do think that if we added a function to automatically call administration as well, it would not hurt anybody unless they were truly rdming, the kick would be to hold off more RDMs while they rejoined, and while an administrator joined.

I’ve seen regulars who massively fuck up before, including myself, and I don’t think this should be implemented. Here’s an example; I’m playing as a detective and I identify an innocent body, after a little while I get DNA and execute the person with the red circle under them, they turn out to be innocent. What if this happens again? Or I identify a T body and get DNA on the innocent that killed the T? Do I get kicked for a couple of misunderstandings? That’s why we got admins. They can see and understand someone that fucked up on accident versus on purpose.

I would use this personally in a manner where it is beyond misunderstandings, 6 RDMs in a round is a number where very few people accidentally accomplish this, the hardest part would be finding a logical number, I would run some spread sheets over games I play and find the average number of RDMs in a round, but I doubt it's over 2 per player.

I think most of the administrative team find call admin annoying as it is. Adding a system to automatically do it on someones every little mistake would only worsen the call admin spam. Also kicking players could hurt our new player base. I have seen many players who join the server not knowing how to play and end up doing some serious rdm. I have also seen these players turn into TTT regs. If instead of having an admin explain it to them we kick them, this could just make those new players quit playing on our server.
