Is this actually KOS though? I get that the cells are closed and all, but if there haven't been any orders and they've gotten up there without a secret why would they be KOS?

 

Getting out of your cell when they're closed is KOS. There aren't specific rule regarding that (because a majority of the maps require the use of a secret to get out) but I believe just getting out of your cell when you're supposed to be in it is KOS in that instance.

 

In most cases, CTs call the first order in the seconds the round begins. If you're found on top of cells at this moment, you're blatantly disobeying anyway and to be killed.

I think me saying 'why' wasn't exactly what I meant. I can completely see why it would be KOS, I'm just not so sure it actually is.

As you said though, there isn't actually a rule defining this (to my knowledge). Not 100% sure, but I believe I've slayed before for someone awping someone ontop of cells who got there without doing anything to make himself KOS whilst there were no orders.

I wouldn't argue with you there. However...

 

On revamp, the button in isolation was not considered a secret. As a result, you could be opening your cell without any problem. But then, if you got out of your cell using that trick, you could be killed. I think it was at this point we deemed getting out KOS. Now, this isn't relevant anymore since the button is invisible and is KOS.

Honestly just read through the full list of rules and faq on the forums, you wont have to rely on anyone giving you false information that way. Doing that every so often and paying attention to the forums will help you.

 

Getting on top of cells might not be KOS, but the invisible ladders, teleports, vents etc.. to get up on top are. Review the rules like I said if you want the full statement of what is considered rebelling and what isn't. A lot of inaccuracies are being stated in this thread such as that it doesn't state that breaking out of your cell is KOS and that the secret in Isolation wasn't KOS before the rule change.

 

Be careful what you listen to and always refer to the rules.
