Why I don't like the original:

  • I don't like the one way, people camp way too much and abuse how hard it is to see.
  • Secrets are way too simple, the revamp makes it a little harder to get into (T sided map)
    • Vending machine makes no sense on the original, and it's pretty much fixed on revamp
    • The awp secret is easier to get into, which helps the T's out a lot. Revamp makes it easier for CT's since they already struggle

[*]The revamp has a cleaner look in general

Why I like the original over the revamp:

  • I like the kitchen layout better than the disco layout
  • I like having the light above pool that contains the deagle
  • I like having the tint to the window by armory

I have no idea if anyone can change my vote I misread the poll and thought it said which one do we keep.

I read that poll wrong... Thought it said which one to keep whoops. If my vote for revamp could not be counted and count my vote as one for the original to be removed that would be nice!

We should keep the original and remove revamp because:

  • I find CTs have a much more difficult time on revamp, it's a lot more difficult to control the Ts as opposed to the original.
  • The original has been around since CS:S, I feel because it's been around that long and pretty much since the beginning of CS:GO PB people won't be happy with it's removal.
  • Revamp has some annoying things to it such as the forklift in soccer garage where you can't shoot through it correctly.

I'm a bigger fan of revamp's look to be honest, but I think it's in the server's best interest to keep the original.

Personal opinion aside taking the other thread into account, many people who are part of the servers main base said they'd be fine to keep both. Take that and being that the vote is split even removing one of them is a bad idea. Based on everything It's pretty much asking people whether they want to be shot or stabbed at this point. That 12-25% of server playtime has to go somewhere, and it can very likely go to maps that are more likely to smash the servers population into the floor. If there was other maps players were overlooking, or good ones waiting to be added I could see the argument- but it looks like the main base is going to be forced to play shit that it doesn't want to for the sake of a forum poll.

I agree with All T’s saying that we should just keep both of them. Instead of removing one of the most played maps because theres two versions of it, time could be spent on finding better maps than those. If new maps were introduced and people enjoyed them, then there would be less of an issue in playing electric razor as people would vote for another map. Personally I like the old map better because of the way the gameplay is, but its basically the same map as VIP in the Mix in terms of layout. People tend those three maps the most, and I think that before we decide to remove one of the Razor maps, we should find more maps that people actively enjoy playing.

I really agree with this way of thinking. Why remove one of two beloved maps (they may be almost identical but they have differences) that the community is split on when you can get a win-win by finding good maps to put into the cyle.

I just had an idea. A couple rounds after you play a map you cant nominate it or vote for it so that map doesnt get spammed. What it both maps had the same cooldown? Lets say we just played the original, now the original and the revamp will go on cooldown together. This way both maps will be played, but with cooldown from each other.

What do you think of this idea? That way we dont have to get rid of either maps.

I like the idea of putting them both on cooldown if one is played. Personally I dont know what the cooldown time is for the map nominations, however I feel like if one of the versions is played, then the other should also go on cooldown, but for less time than the other. For example: Razer (orignial) was just voted to be played. This map now goes on cooldown for nominations for a few hours (i think its eight maybe?). Since the original razer goes on cooldown, the revamp should go on cooldown for about half of the time that the original is on cooldown (i think 4 hours?). This way, the maps can be played back and forth with the cooldowns, and wouldnt make an overplay of essentially the same layout maps with different graphics and somewhat different secrets.
