[Rejected] Razor map rotation

I’ve already said this before, to solve the problem of razor being overused, why not just put it and revamp on the same map cool down? Practically the same map but not entirely. Because of this you can even put the unchosen map on half as much cool down time. Ball is in your court SG ;)

As much as I sometimes get very annoyed about playing razor over and over, it's the most popular map on the server. That time that the other map is on cooldown is then going to get given to another map that people most likely don't enjoy and will kill the population.

 

Razor keeps people playing, so I don't think this is necessarily a problem right now.

I was thinking about this and yes it is annoying to play them back to back but there's a reason theres a voting system. If the people on the server want to play both maps back to back and then extend the map then so be it. You can always try and compromise with the people on the server but what the server wants the server wants. Also, as Dom said people like Razor because it's a fun map with cool secrets and its easy to rebel on. If you can't rebel then its not fun in my opinion.

If the people on the server want to play both maps back to back and then extend the map then so be it. You can always try and compromise with the people on the server but what the server wants the server wants. Also, as Dom said people like Razor because it's a fun map with cool secrets and its easy to rebel on. If you can't rebel then its not fun in my opinion.

 

Yeah they can vote the two maps back to back but it still seems like that shouldnt be a thing because that would make the map be overplayed and nt as fun for some people because they dont get a big change of scenery. I feel like at the very least the maps should be made so one cant be nominated while the other is being played cuurently. This would force people to play a different map thats still fun, and would break up the regular rotation of razer maps. From my experience i dont really see the maps being played back to back anyways so making it impossible to do so seems like a good option in my opinion

We only have about 6 or 7 maps we rotate through the entire day plus the random map we get every now and then. Think we should keep it the same. Honestly our server is killed when we switch to a map our regs don't know as well as new players too.

If you want something other then razor, go to the map thread and post up new map ideas. Also, look at other top jb servers and see what they are using for maps. You would be shocked to see what map wins for being the most played.

Discussed it with @DickMeLater, no change regarding the two razors is going to happen. People vote for the maps and you barely see RTVs while playing them for a reason, people enjoy playing them and it keeps population up. Both maps have huge amounts of time played on the server and if we were to cut that time in half by putting them on the same cool down it wouldn't do the server any good.
