Polarzz Posted April 13, 2018 Content Count: 922 Joined: 11/13/17 Status: Offline Share Posted April 13, 2018 I was wondering today on how some servers that I played on back in minecraft, yes I played it don't judge me, anyways on some of the servers you could buy a unban on it for 20 dollars or 10. To raise more money and the people willing to be able to play on SG I think this would be a cool idea to have and keep the server running as long as possible. Link to comment

Mr.Trololo Posted April 13, 2018 Content Count: 331 Joined: 01/08/13 Status: Offline Share Posted April 13, 2018 This is an absolutely terrible idea. The entire point of a ban is that you violated community rules or are purposely causing harm to the community. Allowing people to bypass protocol just by shelling out money just makes us look like greedy people who have no respect for the players who actually enjoy and embrace SG. 3 Link to comment

Cept For Her Posted April 13, 2018 Content Count: 2162 Joined: 11/26/16 Status: Offline Share Posted April 13, 2018 This has been suggested before, and I doubt the stance on it has changed ever. Older threads are here, and here. Essentially, people are banned for good reasons, and it is meant as a punishment, not a way to get more money for the community. People get unbanned by waiting out their punishment, or explaining their mistakes and changing the way they act, and are decided to be unbanned by the higher ups. 1 Link to comment

If you get banned you can challenge a higher up to a fight to the death. If you win, you're unbanned, if you lose, well I guess that's it 2 Link to comment

If you get a ban, there is a reason to it and sg is not like those servers. If this happens, imagine you break a rule; "Oh I want to buy an unban," gets unbanned, goes back on the server, and break more rules and maybe even if people get unbanned for hacking, imagine more hackers. Doing this will just rise more conflict, and make people wanting to break more rules because they can "buy an unban." This would make SG like a haven for people who break rules, which then people would be able to buy an unban and the cycle would continue. Unless you run out of money. Link to comment

That's what makes my idea perfect. They have to think "is this ban worth dying for?" 1 Link to comment

That is pretty good. But how about the higher ups? Would they want to die for someone getting unbanned? How do you know the person banned is not the damn hulk? But it is a good concept. To be fair, do we even really care about them? Link to comment
