Recently I have bought a few things on the !shop and some of the items I bought or colors for them rather I did not like. I know there is a option to see, but still I think it would be interesting to have a refund option to get your credits back from that item you bought and you would ofc lose that item and just get the creds in return.

I honestly don't think this should be added, there is a VIEW button for a reason, You should click it if you don't know what the item you're trying to buy looks like before you buy it.

If anyone actually wanted to find or create a plug-in I think you should only get HALF.

It would be nice to see this though.

This has been brought up a few times before to my knowledge. There was a thread discussed here, and it basically makes the point that the refunds are just a hassle, and honestly it gives people less of a reason to play the servers if they are able to just sell whatever they want to. Kind of makes it seem like "why would i buy multiple of an item when i can just refund the one i bought and change it out whenever i feel like it."

Im not 100% against a refund system, but there would definitely have to be a drawback to refunding an item, such as only getting about 20-50% of the credits back, but otherwise I dont think this will be added anywhere in the near future

We don't have that functionality built into the system today and it would take some dev work to get it working. The entries are coded into the database and currently there is no automated/functioned way to say "ok refund this to this steamid" - it would have to be manually removed from the db table. I don't really think there is much need for it right now as in general you should just be mindful of what you're buying before you press the buy button. In the future if we get a lot of requests we could look into it though, but for now we are working on other, higher priority projects on the technical side.

AFAIK an AO+ doing full refunds of items is off the table as of now. I do absolutely think there should be a sell back option though. Most other store plugins on other servers have it so you can sell back but obviously you don't get the full amount of credits. @Liam Brown did you plan on doing this in the future or have you completely rejected the idea?

20%-50% is a ridiculously low amount, it should be like 75%-80% because you'd still be losing like 5000 credits when selling something back like an aura.

That is why you should be weary of what you buy, and if you absolutely don't like it then you can "sell" it. Giving someone the option to "sell" it back for almost all of the credits they bout it for would make the point of credits over time useless. A player could just jump from item to item when they get bored of their old one. Making it at something like 50% would make it so the feature wouldn't be completely useless, but also wouldn't be abused and ruin the credits over playtime feature.
