A benefit of Forced LRs is to ensure round delayers die quicker, an LR in itself is not only there to end the round, some people actually enjoy doing LRs. The rule doesn't make it more lenient for delayers, it makes it so the LR system actual rewards players instead of making it seem like an instant death sentence once 3 people are left.

It's limited to 3 LRs max before being eligible for death and honestly, thus far, it doesn't seem like it's a problem to the point where rounds are all lasting until the end. Like I said though, it's subject to change, but I think it's way too early to consider going back on it.

The thing is, we are shifting away from the whole purpose of PB, and that is for the prisoners to kill the guards and try to rebel. Sure if they play a death game and they win the death game during the round, they can be given an LR or a freeday. But the benefit of the LR is to have a chance at killing the CT without rebelling. If the CT’s are nice enough they will let them continue, if not so be it. It should not be forced on the CT to give them more LR’s because they won. That is making the PB server more like Mini Games.

The objective of the game should always be encouraged and LR’s were designed that way, but now its making it more fun for the prisoners who shouldn’t even have to resort to LRs to be able to kill the guards. And on top of that, the CT’s would hve to constantly take a look at tab to check who is more which already creates a hastle out of itself.

@Bubblez You have good reasoning to think this rule is bad but I feel the pros weigh out the cons.

I believe that this little rule change can mitigate the effects of the downfall of JB. A definite reason to why people leave PB is because of the cts, they control the round, they are what makes PB happen and they have effects on the playerbase. As said previously I've witnessed many times new players come and go because other JB servers have similar rules in place. It's good to keep our JB fresh and original but we shouldn't dismiss the obvious population issue. If the player base finds the game more enjoyable, which means they are more likely to stay, with a different rule then we should test it out and see if it fits our JB type.

Checking how many Ts are alive isn't a hassle. LRs can only start with 3 T players, just pressing tab isn't so hard.

SG prison break has lasted a decade without following other servers. For example, other servers have wardens. People use to come on SG specifically because they were allowed to give orders. When you have been here for that long, you are always going to see ups and downs. The thing nowadays thats been happening with PB regulars is that they are taking it all too seriously. Too strict, not really roleplaying right to make it fun. Maybe even trying to put on a more serious tone to become admin who knows? If the regulars are this concerned about the drop in population, they should be shifting their focus in game to make it more enjoyable, not how the game mode is designed itself. Even if you were to change the game’s mechanics, and you have regulars are too uptight and don’t make it fun for the noobs, the noobs will just go to a different server with the exact same mechanics.

These changes aren’t going to help if the people don’t change themselves. This is my two cents.

I can agree with Bubblez on this one, we've been around long enough to remember what CSS PB was like. Back then the rules were a LOT broader and people still enjoyed the fuck out of it. I remember countless times when the server was full 24/24 and I just had to wait to join. All these specific rules being put in makes the gamemode a whole lot less enjoyable. And all these specific rules deters newcomers from sticking around because it is a LOT to take in and 99% of the players don't even want to bother reading every single specific rule we have. And then they get punished because they didn't know and then they leave and its just a whole chain reaction

PS. Bring back kite revamped, 100% server population will skyrocket :)
