Coffee Crisp Posted August 23, 2008 Content Count: 4960 Joined: 06/20/07 Status: Offline Share Posted August 23, 2008 (edited) that Steam takes about 26000 K of memory just to log in. The more you know. P.S: Wanna reduce this? Open up the task manager > Processes Tab > Steam > Right Click Steam > Set Priority > Then set it to low. I found a little of a performance boost, not really noticeable though. Edited August 23, 2008 by Coffee Crisp fatass, resource hog, 26000 k , steam, NBC. Dark Torcher Posted August 23, 2008 Content Count: 240 Joined: 05/28/08 Status: Offline Share Posted August 23, 2008 pointless argument its like sayin norton antivirus takes up 16000Kb to run then hl2 usually takes around 300Mb-600Mb (depending on settings) to run but most people nowadays have at least 2Gb, so the memory user is not much of a concern you must be running with maybe 512Mb to have actually gained something that way Link to comment https://forums.steam-gamers.net/topic/7431-did-you-know/#findComment-76720
