I'd like to create a JB map, and I would love some input on what features/areas to have, secrets, theme, etc.

Not too many death games because you cant force them but if you do put any put some unique ones like monopoly so itll motivate t's to play.

If u would like to create a new map for jail break, I think you should try looking at the popular maps such as electric_razor, summer jail, vipinthemix and mostly undertail.

People play these maps for a purpose which include in your case fun, adventures, and cool secrets just like secrets in undertail.

 

TRY making your map unique and secrative in its own ways.

 

First tip from me: Try making not many deathgames just like virtious said.

 

second tip: ADD fun games or places such as good disco with songs or a soccer field with different things in such as big ball.

 

Third tip: make space in the maps because it gets to crouded in some places, example: in undertail there are alot of places but squished toghther so its hard to kill people.

 

Fourth tip: Try not to make the maps colourfull because it it very annoying getting retarded colours in your eyes but still use proper colours which are playable.

 

These are only some tips from me but its your choice what ever u wanna make.

I was going to make a JB map but I always get sidetracked and never actually do things I want. Had a thread asking this same thing.

 

Personally my favorite things to do are things like surf, or deathcourse or any of those fun type little minigames. The server isnt defined by the maps, its defined by how the players use the map, so if you make a map that has fun minigames and stuff, then people will love to play it, but suggestion would be to make these minigames easily accessible, publicized, and try to limit the amount of deathgames you make. Things like jump rope or colors would be really fun to use if people didnt die from it, however its also good to have a few games where people can die because some people do enjoy that sort of competition and reward.

I do not think that we should add a new map, it just takes up space and no one would want to try it as long as the jb server has maps like electric razor go and electric razor remastered and vipinthemix. It would be like pouring water from a water bottle on your head while swimming in a pool.

Did you even read the OP? Also new maps are always good for servers because they add variety and hey, you dont know, maybe people will actually enjoy the map and play it as much they do all the other maps
