So unless you already have a dedicated team of people to populate and build KZ, I doubt this server will ever flourish above the 4-7 player mark. And no, a few members of this community going on the server for maybe 30 mins every couple of days or so isn’t enough to establish a server imo. 3 Link to comment

And no, a few members of this community going on the server for maybe 30 mins every couple of days or so isn’t enough to establish a server imo. I understand KZ has a pretty dedicated tight-knit community, but this is an exaggeration in terms of what's required to establish a server. Having a manger or two that have knowledge of the gamemode, yes. Having dedicated community members who would come from the community to play is just a plus though, it is not a requirement for a good server and there is plenty of evidence for this. For one, having a few members log-on every few days is the exact reason why servers like Bhop and Surf have been fairly consistent, sometimes doing better than servers like Scrim which run off the strict community support of players. There is a pretty big reason why a lot of the large communities spam new servers for games, constantly swapping them out- they're trying to find a niche player base. I will agree with you that the way SG does this where we will have servers that sit dead forever, not swapping them out, very little changes is unhealthy to say the least. I will also say that some CS:GO communities rely on this type of server creation too much, but SG could not be further from that currently. The main part which leads me to think this should be made given it finds proper management is that when we have a team full of AT's who could use the practice and training that throwing a KZ server out in turn for one of the under performing servers or (if able) along with them is not a bad idea whatsoever. I would be more than happy to have another server like Surf or Bhop that sit in the 2000-3000's, then for us to stagnate with the same 3-4 successful servers, then a few that are dead. It puts us in a very vulnerable situation we experienced first-hand when Jailbreak and Zombie escape were doing badly months back. I don't know what the dedi is at but potentially upgrading it or casting one or two out to lighten the load so few AT's can make some servers & cast a wide net sounds like it would be extremely helpful towards the community in the long-term. empy Posted July 7, 2018 Content Count: 60 Joined: 09/21/15 Status: Offline Share Posted July 7, 2018 I love KZ and would play it if offered. I dont know how populated the bhop server is but I would rather combine bhop/kz than course/mg since they are both heavily movement based. It would also be a great way to add new monthly tournaments that people can play on their own time. Link to comment

I Eat Dog Posted July 12, 2018 Content Count: 64 Joined: 04/23/18 Status: Offline Share Posted July 12, 2018 KZ server would be great. Sometimes I go on another community's KZ server (not going to name which one) to warm up my movement for a competitive game. Link to comment

That server isn't on our dedi, so replacing it is not really that easy- someone else runs the ARK server somewhat independently. Link to comment

Not saying we will do it - but we will discuss it! Link to comment
