zombie knife range

please do reduce the zombie knifing range :|

the current range which is applied is good for humans but not for zombies as we have to go inside/hug a human to turn him into a zombie.

today while playing on our ze server, I knifed a guy for almost a dozens of time hearing that voice of knifing (khach khach) lmao, but it was of no use.

please do look forward for this issue @Agent Wesker and fix it asap :)

This seems to be a latency issue, could you please post a screenshot with net_graph 1 turned on?

 

Also if humans are stacked it can cause hitbox issues.

The range isn’t large, it’s normal knifing range, but sometimes it is annoying when someone with 300 ping has like double the range because of their high ping, and I don’t think they can do anything about that.

it might be because of my ping issues.

as it is generally between 280 to 350 :/

Yeah your ping is probabaly the reason why. Sometimes with 250-300 ping, it would look like the zombies are knifing you from a long range. I’ve had experience with this on PYCC (Russian server) and Zeddy’s (Singapore server), where it looks like he zombies knife me from far away. It is a disadvantage because of your ping, but you can also easily prevent yourself by getting knifed.

It also has the opposite effect where if you have low ping and someone else has high ping, it seems like their reach doubles
