Ts Off Mic

A lot of the times on JB there will be tons of micspam or the usual and the cts want to gain control over the situation. The order "All Ts Off Mic" comes up often and sometimes after the designated seconds of off mic are over people will argue with the cts saying that "You are only allowed to say 'All Ts off Mic' when youre about to give an order" In Goku's 2nd post in "Jail Break Rules, FAQs and Clarifications Megathread" it stats "CTs are only allowed to give an 'off mic' order for 15 seconds at a time, and should only be used when you're attempting to give an order, but the Ts are being too loud to properly do so." This would imply that the off mic command DOES NOT have to be accompanied by an order by a CT but it is only encouraged that a ct says the off mic command to give another command. Would like one of the ATs to clarify and possibly make the statement in the post clearer.

 

Seen this as a problem for an while and some newer players might not know of the Rules Megathread.

CTs do not have to say that Ts can be back on mic, it is implied after the time that they can be. If a CT screws up that is their problem, if a T doesn't get back on mic after the time that is also their problem.

I think he's asking if he has to give an order to tell the T's to be off mic, or if he can just say "All t's off mic 15 seconds" when it's chaotic.

By default it's 15 seconds, if they say to be off-mic after 15 seconds the Ts can get back on mic without being told to do so.
