[Rejected] 24/7 Live Stream Cam

OK so I have a suggestion I think there should be a 24/7 live stream cam on the main servers ex: JB,ZE, and TTT. I think it would be a good idea because then if there is a mass free killing or hacker etc on the server people can just go to the live stream and clip the last minute of it and report it on forums. I'm pretty sure admins have something like this already so the case would just be making it public. Best way to live stream this is through Youtube and make it restart the stream every hour to make a VOD.

I believe he's referring to the gotv bot which ats can use.

This is actually a pretty good suggestion in theory, but if you are so concerned, download playstv, you can make clips, and the only difference is that clips and the entire recording is stored locally.

no, i don't think this is even possible and i don't want this to be a thing that we should add to our servers/community. Even though it seems like a good idea at first, this will lead to more chaos since people could react to it negatively due to the fact that you feel like you're being constantly watched by others and rule breakers dont care that they are being watched. We are also gonna most definitely be flooded with player complaints on the same person and will just make playing on the servers boring and feel like a job since you're being monitored for everything that you do.

First What you are saying is its fun to break rules? Second the player complaints wont be flooded because they would most likely add a rule and most people are to lazy to make complaints. Third the stream would act the same as a admin so you are saying when admins are on its boring? I dont get your point the cam is basically a admin.

I am extremely confused what you're talking about and do not think this is possible at all. It would maybe be possible to have demos record constantly, but live streaming sounds extremely complicated+expensive to keep up and running all of the time 24/7. The administrators have a single tool at their disposal that we don't mention publicly as to not hurt the effectiveness of it and full disclosure, it has nothing to do with this at all.

Its not that complicated or expensive simply just a plugin interrogated into the server ESEA and CEVO have one like this coding for it is pretty simple too. If you ever want to go in detail about this I would be happy to talk.

If you link a plugin or explain how a plugin is going Stream 24/7 on all of our servers I'd be interested. Comparing ESEA and CEVO to SG in the first place then saying its not complicated or expensive sounds like that is not accurate. As far as I know CEVO and ESEA stream specific games some of the time, not 24/7 on multiple servers at a time. This thread is the place for you to go into detail.

Im not a coder myself but there are many ways of doing it like through Amazon EC2 where if you signup you get a year free or rent a VPS (Probably overkill), or buy a Raspberry Pi, Digital Ocean they go for $5 a month. I am sure if you put an ad out looking for coder they will do work for cheap. CEVO and ESEA have a custom bot in there servers that jump around each server streaming random games unless there is a league match or something going on, my friend was working at CEVO thats how I know. I could get the coder but he charges around $100 I think. Dont SG have coders ask them about it something like this I think adding this would make SG more enjoyable

I never said breaking the rules is fun nor did i say having an admin on is boring. I'm just saying how i think the community could react to this if this were to be added
