The point I'm making isn't that it will never be abused, the point I am making is that people shoot down opinions with really simple logic without attempting to make it work. I personally don't believe something like this would hurt the community nearly as much as it would help and I think people who do believe it's an awful idea aren't really thinking of the numbers surrounding the idea and mechanics that can be implemented to prevent abuse. We have a ton of things on the servers that can be abused but are there for the sake of gameplay that is balanced to an extent. I don't see this as any different.

 

I see what you are saying, and I could see it working especially on a server like JB. With some testing and the right corrections it would probably work quite well. But with that said it would take a bit of planning and effort.

I have seen to many times people using mob mentality against some one because they are following the rules and just because it is different from how normal people play everyone yells at him so i feel as though it would be used improperly a lot of times. But maybe instead of VIP it's the Honorable Gamers class i feel as though it wouldn't be used improperly and maybe allowing people to apply who are already regulars and has support from admins this would be amazing in my mind because regulars that are trusted who by admins would have some capability to maintain the server and would also show how well some would do with some semblance of power and shows how they would be with power in context of applying for admin it would allow people to know whether they would be good or not before you give them power.

 

Also it would allow nobody to buy a vote kicking system, the worst system a community could have paying for power. It allows toxic rude people to have the ability to use mob mentality to kick who ever they want and this should not be allowed but some one who has earned i would be able to make clear minded decisions to be able to do punishing but maybe require that they apply proof with it to make sure people don't abuse it but this would make the sg servers better in my mind.
