So if I send a $7 game and also $3 in paypal will that count as 2 months of sub or just one month or am I not aloud to give only $3 through paypal.

If you want to become a Subscriber with donating games/items you need to make a minimum donation of $15 with all the items at least $5. Note that the games you plan on donating must be tradeable copies of Steam Games. More info can be found here

Does it count if say I bought some game keys for cheap off of kinguin and I sent it in to get a sub/vip? The game keys still work for steam of course, but they are not bought off the steam store.
