Removal of Directional Sound

With the new CS:GO update, directional sound was introduced. I feel that this should be disabled on the servers, besides scrim, if possible.

The original purpose of this was so that you could hear about where teammates are in a competitive match, or casual, if you're into that. Having this on community servers such as JB, where a T could easily figure out where a last CT trying to sneak behind to kill a rebeller, on MG where it could be a 1v1 situation, or on TTT where a T is talking shit on the last inno, I feel could pose a problem to general gameplay and false hacking accusations with the inexperienced players.

You're probably screaming "JUST DON'T TALK THEN"

I understand that it is completely valid to just not talk, but I think having the servers the way they were, prior to the update would just be overall better. Directional sound could make things pretty screw-y if you ask me.

Feel free to leave feedback on this idea.

I agree.

I feel as though this is an issue for multiple server and it should be force off in the servers it applies to.

This is essentially walling, you shouldn't be penalized for using your mic in JB or TTT when you are rebelling, last CT, a known T, or the last inno. This provides people with your location in a multitude of situations which provides them with an unfair advantage against you.

This should be changed on the fundamental basis that players can gain an unfair advantage if someone uses their mic.

I mean it’s simply a game mechanic. It’s there to be taken advantage of. It’s not like the CT gets it and The Ts dont. Both players have the option to use this and I don’t really think that this a relevant problem. From my experience, I’ve seen no one complain about this and personally, unless some sort of abuse or bug comes from this, I think nothing should be done about it.
