Forecasters do not believe it will strengthen to a catagory 4 storm, winds will have to get up to 130 mph for that to happen. In the next few hours, the Lousiana coastline should experience constant winds of 74 mph. Storm surge is looking to be 10-12 feet. Federal computers predict nearly $33 billion dollars in damage and 75,000 structures to be destroyed. Lousiana's governor says 10,000 people are still in New Orleans. The storm is expected to make landfall around Noon EST. Edited September 1, 2008 by SpikedRocker Link to comment
