Hyperx cloud 2 mic problem

I have a very close friend who owns the Hyperx cloud 2 and he said that he ripped of the ball of foam and the audio was better (idk how or why he just said it does and he can earrape now so its a plus?)

This is gonna sound hella stupid but have you tried unplugging it and replugging it in? Sometimes my mic quality goes to shit and replugging it in fixes it. I've always used the USB plugin and it's worked fine for me.

I had a similar problem to you but it turns out nothing was wrong with the mic but rather it sounds different than my last to which people were used to. I’ve had my Clouds now for over a year and nothing has gone wrong with them while I was using the USB port.

It's not that the mic is bad Soul, it's that it sounds so different from your old mic since its the hyperx clouds. I know a couple people that have the same headset and the sound for the mic is the same. Also the streamer s0m has the same headset and when he uses it while hes streaming it sounds the same way yours does. It's just the mic nothing else.
