[Answered] JB RTV Bug

So as of lately, I've been noticing that whenever a map is RTVed and switches to another map, my game along with many other players's game will completely crash. It's been happening consistently over the past 2 weeks and at first I though it was just me, but when I get back on, people are reporting the same issue. I'm not sure what exactly is causing it, but if someone could fix it that would be great!

 

Edit: Also this does not happen to everyone on the JB server at the time, but happens to some players consistently

Before the map changes I type retry in console. I’m not sure what causes the crashing, but doing this has avoided me from crashing.

I noticed when I upgraded graphics cards, I started to crash less and less. Idk if this helps at all though. Anyways I think Karma might have something to fix this, atleast I think so. He said he would put in something later, but never did.

well I have a GTX 1060 which isnt amazing but its not horrible so I hope I shouldn't be crashing based on my graphics card...

I had a GTX 660 before and now I have a 1060, 4 year difference in cards. I crashed 50/50 but now I crash a lot less so if you crash a lot then it might not just be your graphics card.

Considering a lot of other people get this issue I don't think I should have to update my Graphics card in order for this to happen (I have a GTX 970 and am upgrading in a few weeks anyway). This is also happens on TTT quite a bit.

I'm... not sure what you mean in your post. Considering a lot of other people get this issue I don't think I should have to update my Graphics card in order for this to happen. If you update your graphics card I noticed you'd crash less, not make it happen more. But crashing from force rtv does happen on all servers (from my experience).

Yes, so i'm saying that while updating your graphics card MAY be effective we need a permanent solution to this.

I'll let you know if it happens again. Also just wanted to add that I dont think its just JB, it happened on MG as well. Hopefully what you did fixed on it all servers.

Edit: as of 7:40 people are still crashing after RTV on TTT server
