Introducing CT Ranks!

Hello everyone,

 

The long awaited CT Ranks plugin is finally here! This is a plugin that will allow you to show off your rank on CT based on your playtime. The more you play on the CT team, the more you will rise through the ranks.

 

The current values for rank names, intervals between promotions, and colors are subject to change, but we will stick to these for the time being. Here is a list of the commands that can be used:

 

- !ctrank / !r - shows your rank and playtime

- !cttop - shows the top 5 CTs' playtime

 

While the Jailbreak team has worked hard on the concept of this plugin, it couldn't be done without the work ethic and technical prowess of @IntenseFajita. He has worked his ass off creating it and fixing various bugs that came about. He was pretty much learning it as he went along to make sure that this could work efficiently, so I'd like to send a huge thank you to Fajita. We are aware that bugs may happen and there is always room for improvement, so please feel free to report any flaws or give any feedback you may have.

yea but how is this any different from that, other than just being for CT? and doesn't it also show team specific playtime on the stats page? hmm

We already have a ranking system for the T side which is based off of kills. Doing this for the CT side will most likely never happen as it would encourage CTs to go for kills, so instead we've matched it with a system based off of playtime. This encourages people to play CT while not encouraging any change in their behavior as one. It's also something that is displayed in-game as opposed to the Stats page that barely anyone knows about, let alone checks.

The ranks shown in the GameMe page are for the ranks in total - points gathered for CT and T combined. It's meant for bragging rights as much as the ranks for total points is. Yes it does show specific playtime on the stats page but that's not the only thing the stats page is used for.

It's playtime based. There are no "exp points" for getting kills. The longer you play, the higher you rank up.
