There is quite a difference in performance as seen here. Is it worth the price? I have no clue. That all depends on what you want to do or use it for. Will your CPU bottleneck it? I also have no clue. It is worth it if you want the extra FPS and performance and if you want that cool "TI" tag.

 

Alternatively, if you really have no budget you can go for this.

@John Unfortunately I do have a budget, and cannot spend $10,000 on my new pc although I would love to... I think I may just stick with the 1080 since I will mostly be playing games that are not too reliant on a very powerful graphics card, such as csgo. I think the 1080 will do for now; maybe I'll get an upgrade in a year or two. I'll let you know how it runs once I build it next week... Thanks for your help.

You will never need a 1080 ti to play games at 144 fps on respectable settings

@EvilEye I agree. The only game I would be playing that the 1080 may struggle with is PUBG.

 

Especially when playing csgo I don't think the extra few frames are worth the price.

Even the 1080 will get great fps on competitive settings for pubg
