I tried playing it yesterday... pretty much all servers with people were passworded, full, or extremely laggy.

Can you only play on servers made with synergy dedicated server thing? My friend cant join my server.

A little hint for everyone; you can get cracked HL2 and install that.. Works with SYNERGY just fine as far as what I've heard from people

 

But yea, I am going to try get the mod and install HL2 so I can play it sometime later.

everyone that is having problems with Synergy:

 

I have deiscovered that, currently, your best bet on having a fun time is joining a non-VAC server; VAC is still not been "fixed" to cooperate with Synergy according to steam and they're fixing it right now.

 

So, for now, just boot up your Epic-Firewall-of-Doom and go play a Non-Vac server; there shouldn't be much of a problem then except maybe hackers (lagging is dependent on the server's location, of course)
