It's not sexual unless it is clear that they are trying to be sexual about it. It's not good to assume things and always leads to things like this. If it is clearly seen that someone is being sexual about something you would know, don't get offended by people doing their own weird things and assuming they're up to no good. Don't be drawing conclusions on people especially like Dominic who are just weird. Punishing the people who you can see are giving sexual remarks about it makes sense but I don't get why Dominic was punished.

I'm just going to state here what I've heard and what people have told me about the racism rule on Discord; I won't really touch upon the sexual content issue because I was not there to witness the game and I'm not exactly sure how the higher-ups handle problems that arise about sexual content, I just know that no pornographic content or overtly sexual content is allowed, and I've no clue where the line on that is. I checked out the game, and there really isn't anything sexual in the game (obviously, as it's meant for a younger audience) so I don't really see the need to lock the channel for that. If there were comments made on the other hand that were sexual that'd be a different story, but then again I wasn't there so I won't expand on this topic further.

On the topic of racism though, as far as I know there is a zero-tolerance policy for any racism or racist slurs in any text channel on the Discord. If you wouldn't be able to say a word in a forum post or in the SB, chances are you're not allowed to say it in Discord either. Voice channels are different, because you do have the ability to make them provate, and whatever conversation that happens in a voice channel is temporary. There's no record of anything in a voice channel, unless someone is recording. I believe it's this way because of marketability; if I remember correctly, having a no racism rule presents ourselves better professionally to any possible sponsors and to people looking to join the community, but also being a bit more lax in terms of the voice channels doesn't have as much of an impact on that image.

Feel free to correct me if anything I said was wrong, but this is just my $0.02.

Pikajew was 17 when he was permed for pedophilia, by your logic he should be fine since he isn't a grown ass man.

The difference between Ark and Rust and Princess Designer is that Ark and Rust isn't a game designed for little kids and for the purpose of dressing up underage women. Are you really comparing Ariel in underwear to a female model in Ark or Rust? And there can be something wrong with a 16 yr old "acting like a 1st grader" depending on the context of the situation. Furthermore, a post above also reveals that there have been sexual comments thrown around (might I remind you for a game about dressing up little girls). I find this disgusting and also shows how some people on SG will lie to downplay a situation, instead diverting blame and saying "Please don't post such ignorant things if you have no clue what you're talking about" to try and silence discussions on this topic

Disagree.

While intent should always be considered, there is a line you have to draw for what content you allow and what content you don’t, regardless of intent.

I don’t know. I was in the channel but I muted since I was crushing kids in R6. The description of the game sounds questionable and, in conjunction with the sexual remarks being thrown around, I think locking the channel was the right move.

What I meant is that you should not be assuming something is sexual based off of putting pieces in your head together, content is a different matter. Revising what I said I do believe that playing a little kid's game may influence some unwanted remarks and a line could be drawn, but in the end you don't know the person's true intent unless you see it. I could believe that Dominic could've just been playing the game for some wholesome fun but that was not the case for others. I see how a situation like this can look really sketchy and there should be a restriction on some content, I just don't understand why the person playing the game would be punished for other's unfortunate actions.

Hello sir, I'd be glad to answer some of these questions best I can.

Can we maybe just get a little hint of how far "No sexual content" really goes?

Okay, so this is obviously going to be a hard line to draw in the sand, especially when it comes to images. I'm sure you guys can understand that previously in TS any image sharing took place privately, whereas now it is a lot more public. Obviously some things are still being sorted, but for the sake of explanation, I'd say we're trying to land somewhere between PG-13 and R.

**The next few sections you can apply to both images and text, as many people are simply using images with text on them which is the same thing for this argument.**

The half-naked dudes telling me about the rules? kinda weird but okay. Some sort of sexual act or the direct implication of it? probably less okay. I'll break that down a little further by saying: you're not gonna in trouble for saying "I'm gonna fuck your mom" but you could get in trouble for saying

"I'm gonna anal fuck your mom and cum inside her"

.

The closer you get to just spewing sexual verbiage publicly or posting overtly sexual images the closer we get to having to pull down the hammer. What you guys say verbally in a private channel or share elsewhere is on you guys, but if you leave the channel unlocked and start saying some weird-ass shit (especially with underage people around) and it makes someone uncomfortable then we're gonna start having problems. We need everyone to remember there are kids at least as young as 13 around and as much as others might be older and have a need to talk about all things sex, try and remember that you are sharing the environment with others who might not want to see all of that (and might put us in really bad situations if all we are doing is making sexual comments around them).

It'd also be great to understand why images were disabled in #general and what the ruling on posting stuff in there is. Despite restricting the ability to easily post images, it's not impossible to just post a link to an image instead, so it didn't actually fix anything beyond maybe reducing clutter. There's no real concrete rule on posting images in there and what sort of images are allowed and oftentimes posting a random meme would actually fire up the chat. I think there was some drama surrounding it or something, but it was just disabled with no notice. It seems odd that disabling images altogether was the chosen route as opposed to simply adding a sentence somewhere about randomly posting images.

Images were disabled in general because people were spamming images there, many of which teetered on or cross the line I just explained above. As for images being turned back on in #general, best I can say is TBD.

Is there any change to the racism rule on Discord? The rule is still cut and dry and states "No racism", so when I was told it's allowed in voice channels I was pretty confused. I think I heard it was posted in a thread somewhere, so if that is the case it'd be convenient to have it clarified on the rules list.

New rules for discord have been written up and are just being run by all parties involved in decision making here prior to us posting them publicly. To give some insight, generally and on the racism rule, we're trying to keep things as close to TS while also adjusting to the different factors of Discord.

If you don't want to respond to all of this, please at least just tell me I can play Princess Designer with my boys in peace. If not Princess Designer, please give me the go ahead to play Princess Spell Factory instead.

Honestly, I joined the channel last night and looked at the game and I had no issue with it, but I wasn't there for the comments that were made. These comments were brought up by Greggy and several others in this thread, so clearly you guys might have been crossing the line. I'm gonna be frank here, I don't know why we have to deal with this at all. I don't know why this thread is a thing. It is incredibly difficult to exactly spell out what is and isn't okay since people keep managing to find new ways to try and skirt around the rules and guidelines. However, it is incredibly easy to just use your brain for half a second and decide not to be a troll every second that you're on discord. It sounds like in this case you guys were skirting around some inappropriate shit and were given viable solutions to avoid it being a problem, but instead, here we are in this thread. You shouldn't need every rule spelled out for you to contain yourself just a little bit. It's pretty simple: just be a decent human being.

To those in this thread jumping to pedophilia and all this other crap: yeah let's just not go there. We like to try and keep forum discussions civil and on topic and you guys really jumped off the rails here pretty quick.

To those who insist on trolling and pushing the line in discord: cut the shit. There will never be a rule for every little thing that someone can come up with to push the line, but hopefully, this gives you a good idea of what is and isn't okay.

To elaborate on what Bom says here, we will absolutely not tolerate people diverging the thread to insults, or in this instance, comparing a member to a pedophile sympathizer (and then trying to justify it?). Most of what's been posted here is total garbage and should stay in your head. Clearly, the thread was posted in the "rules discussion" subforum, and not in our "r/AmIAPedo" section. If you don't know what you're talking about, try to avoid talking about it. Chances are, you're wrong.

Keep your allegations and accusations to yourselves, and pm them to us. This kind of thing weighs too much for us to allow that kind of ill-intended discourse in a totally unrelated public setting.
