Daze Posted October 22, 2008 Content Count: 6741 Joined: 06/10/08 Status: Offline Share Posted October 22, 2008 Started about 2 days ago.. I had to format my HDD due to a silly story about licence keys and new mobo's.. so i reinstall vent and all my games from a backup partition i created on my HDD so i press the button to talk on vent, (normally would hear a noise) and nothing happens and no one can hear me speak. I've tried changing the key i use to talk but that doesn't work. I've tried reinstalling vent. outside a game it works fine.... Help Meh, I don't want to live a life where i have to minimize a game to speak to someone!!! :crying: :crying: Link to comment

It could be that your game is taking too much CPU to process the PTT key... It's happened to me on my old pc which was single core, but pretty fast. You can try going into task manager and changing ventrilo.exe's priority to something higher (I wouldn't recommend Maximum, some games get effed when u do that) in the Process List. Link to comment
