James Posted October 23, 2008 Content Count: 2645 Joined: 06/05/07 Status: Offline Share Posted October 23, 2008 (edited) Wow, where do I begin? I think this video here kind of explains it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Foexis5nEtA Was watching a program last night called my fake baby. Yes, that's right, this woman makes life-like dolls of babies, and she sells them to people. Now, she starts off by 'advertising' the babies in supermarkets as she is going shopping, and she also has a website all about these dolls or 'reborns' as she calls them. http://www.babybuntinsnursery.com/ Now, apparently some older women who have say, had children and they have left the nest, they decide to buy one of these dolls. The fact that they are obsessed with these dolls is incredible, and after a while of watching it I just turned the tv off. WHAT WERE THESE PEOPLE THINKING??? Do they really expect to get the full satisfaction of carrying around a doll that looks like a baby in a pram, or rocking them to sleep? Now I am sorry if it may sound harsh, but I just don't understand the motive behind owning one of these dolls. I don't know, I can't think of anything else to say about it... She's what we like to call MENTALLY RETARDED Jesus how can you live your life with a FAKE PLASTIC baby? What you gonna do with it, you just look like a nut case or a crack head walking down the street with a plastic baby in the pram. And I know theres a few women who are not able to have children, but I think that this is taking it abit far, adoption is the most reasonable. Some mothers can't take the fact that their children have left them to lead their own lives, so the mothers would buy these and convince themselves mentally that the dolls are them when they were at the youngest age that they were forced to depend on them, hence the toddler stage.
