What is the current protocol for when a player on CT loses motivation and starts just giving free days and opening armory just to annoy other CT's.  It seems like a tiny issue but it can ruin entire games when just 1 man gets disillusioned.  This is a slightly common issue but it seems to mainly happen on peoples last round before they disconnect.  Should I even worry about this at all as it's just a fact of jb servers or should I pursue people who regularly do this?

If Guards are continuously giving freedays over and over that is not allowed. Guards should be giving orders and varying the types they give from time to time. Also know that freedays are always revocable, but if a Guard is "re-instating" a freeday right after it is revoked that is Conflicting and is not allowed. Feel free to report these people with !calladmin or make a player complaint if they are continuously breaking the rules.

If someone disconnects after giving a freeday just feel free to revoke it, no harm done after that :)

Well there are many ways to throw a round as a CT

  • Freekill
  • Giving the same orders over and over again
  • Giving conflicting freedays
  • Gunplant
  • Baiting
  • Not enforcing

All of these are punishable by admins and if we see that a person on CT is just being a nuisance we can just switch them and/or ctban them if necessary. The only thing that we can't really control is players throwing when it comes to gunfights, as we can't ban someone for being "bad" at the game.

The main problem that i keep on seeing is how certain CTs (and a lot of Ts who think they know the rules) think that Freedays cannot be revoked, and to give another freeday is conflicting. Most of the time the problem continues until an admin gets on, which can vary for any length of time. If there was any way that it could be more well known, possibly having it show up in chat. It definitely worked with the cardinal directions rule, but it might not work as well because the directions rule was already intended for CTs who sort of understood the rules, conflicting freedays can be given by some joe shmoe who's been on T side for 10 minutes.

• CTs must give reasonable orders and shouldn't repeat the same orders often.

written by Dominic in 2018 in This thread (guard rules third down). There is a against the rules, and like @splayd said in his post its classified as throwing meaning it is punishable by admin. If a CT for example is giving several freedays every round and is conflicting real orders with a freeday that person again can be punished by admin. And If their isn't an admin present use /calladmin and report them. I do agree that this does happen a lot and personally i think we need to start cracking down on this a lot more then we already do.

Addition: while talking to @RemixedPixel about this topic we both agreed that maybe a chat prompt telling people what conflicting is and what it means like the cardinal orders being unreasonable. This shows up in chat and is in a brighter color to have a higher chance to see it. Good CTs who give good orders and real orders seem to get overshadowed by people who constantly give conflicting orders and give freedays on freedays just to conflict the current given during that round. When looking at this issue and the people who cause it, it looks like CT that don't understand conflicting rules or people who come on JB just to troll. So adding this chat prompt and making people understand this rule would be best for this issue.

if the person is opening the door for Ts to go in then it’s teamkilling or assisting the enemy team since the person is helping the Ts get into armory so that they can kill CTs.

If someone is constantly breaking server rules every time they are about to leave, tell them that it isn’t allowed and if they don’t listen and come back to do it all again then make a player complaint on it or call an admin and tell them about the situation

If the person keeps conflicting orders then tell them to stop and inform them about it. For most people who are new to a server they will not read all (none) of the rules or keep up to date with them. They will most likely just learn as they go and wait till someone actually tells them what they are doing wrong.

Something that shows up about conflicting orders can help but for the most part the community members and admins should be telling those players about it, since at times it can be misinterpreted or flat out ignored. If the player becomes a huge problem and ruining yours or other people’s experience on the server then ask an admin to get on or make a player complaint on them.

People who are constantly conflicting orders by giving freedays and ignoring all the other CTs orders probably wouldn’t care if the rule was right infront of their face. They’re probably just trying to cause problems.

As I said above, the prompt will probably help a small bit, but it all comes down to the people on the server whether it be an admin or member to tell the player or teach the player how to play or what the rules are, cause the rule can be still misinterpreted or ignored. Conflicting orders also have small snippets scattered around which can make it hard to understand completely.

I agree with you on this entire section, the people who join just to troll through orders, free kill, and general trolls usually don't care even if we slay them and give the necessary tools to learn the rules they don't care and continue the same behavior or try to do something like mfk. But as you said, it will help a little but not as much as I initially thought. Still, I think its a good idea to add this prompt (if possible) to help out the people who want to understand the rules, and if they don't notice it or don't understand it we as admins and regs could help these people understand it completely again to avoid getting punished.

@Screw JanetThe above should majorly answer your question. Our server is set up in a way where Guards can equally give orders, but no one person can take over a round or contradict a fellow Guard in a recently give order. Don't worry about it too much unless they begin to not do their team objective or enforce.
