Yeah by the time "time travel" has been invented the entire world would probably know about it already, to go from the first time machine to flawlessly moving an entire human from one time to another would take a very long time so this probably wouldn't happen if someone were to visit their past self through a fully successful time warp (as the topic of time travel existence would have already been known).

 

Unless in the future we're all run by some military government that covers up everything
